Keyboardist Roger McNichols joined the Throwaway People in November of 1999. McNichols who grew up in the midwest currently lives in Houston, Texas with wife Alicia and son Coby. The modern funk and jazz stylings which he brings to the group are the result of keyboard influences including Herbie Hancock, Keith Jarrett, Rich Vogel, and John Medeski. Previously, Roger played with Loud Plaid Jacket and Fairdinkum.
