Saxophonist Jason Whiteman joined the Throwaway People in 1996. Jason, who grew up in Tibet, currently lives in Houston, Texas. The soulful, technical, and beautiful sax work which punctuates the group's sound is the result of jazz influences including Charlie Parker, David Czarnek, and Wes Montgomery. Jason has formerly played with several bands including Loud Plaid Jacket and Mondo Cane.
